Blake St Cafe

Another week another foodie post, Hooray!!!!!
Well its nothing that great actually. Going out for breakie or branch have become part of our weekly routine now after my new housemates have move in. Most of the time Wei Sin, Sam and myself will wake up early in the morning to buy our vegies and fruits in the weekend market in Subiaco for the week. After getting the necessity, we will usually head out to find something to fill our stomach be it western or eastern food. Last two weeks we have been eating western and were quite happy with it. The week before was Coode St Cafe and this time it is Blake St Cafe in North Perth.
This restaurant was introduce to me by Ying Yee and she told me the Moroccan lamb slow cooked with herbs were good. So I decided to give it a try and called Tiong Hoe along with us. When we arrive it was actually pretty pack, but what I did not expect was that TH being such smart ass this time have actually book a table for us before hand!!!! What a surprise!!! Or else we might have to stand and wait for a sit.
The service is quick and friendly. We are starving and we ordered the food without much hesitation. All of our food arrive pretty fast and coffee were actually not bad. I ordered my Soy Mocha and I have to say it taste pretty nice. When our food arrive we dig right in. I ordered the Moroccan lamb as mention and I can't remember what is the name for it (Sha Shuku I think), Sam ordered the full monty, Wei Sin ordered the same one but with Moroccan sausage in it instead and TH ordered some sandwich. Our herbs with lamb and sausage are actually pretty good. It comes with some bread and butter for us to eat it with the Sha Shuku and on top of the pan it has two eggs as well. I have to say I love the eggs cause it is cooked just as the way I like it....Creamy yoke not runny.....Nice.......
Sam was abit disappointed with his cause apparently the potatoes are overcooked in the fryer and it ends up being really hard and dry. His scramble eggs on the other hand is a tat bit too salty and the sausages too oily. TH didn't make much comment about his sandwich so I guess its pretty alrite.
After finishing our food we were sitting there comfortably chating. That morning was so darn cold...........and it feels nice n warm inside the restaurant while sipping our coffee. To my horror I found out something that really turns me off.............When I was looking around the the cafe I saw the lady making the coffee......and then..........she left the steamer unwipe........when I saw the steamer it was thick with milk scum on it....................ggeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.................this come to me as a surprise as people who are able make a decent cup of coffee are pretty fussy with the hygiene of the machine knows better to give the steamer a wipe each time it is use and that lady apparently don't care about that.......
I won't say this place is totally a bad experience but I might not go there anytime soon cause its not that near my place and it is not that good to get me coming again anytime sooner. But I would say give it a try if you want to try something different cause it serves something rather unusual from the other cafes who serve breakie.

Foodie Post!!!! (Restaurant ToTo)

Erlo People....
Thx for all the support and encouraging words..I'm really touch. You guys have no idea how much it meant for me. Btw Xs I got your msg...just that I don't have enough credit to msg you back and you aren't online at all for these past few days, so I apologize for the late reply and would like to thank you for your msg too!

Just to show you guys that I'am right on track and doing fine after that ordeal, here is a simple foodie post. This restaurant is nearby my place (East Victoria Park). I got to know this place because my housemates are currently working there, and after countless times of telling me how fantastic the food is....I decided to judge it for myself.

I went there two days in a role after I tried their food....so you can imagine how nice the food is.....and most of you who knows me knows that I don't go to the same restaurant twice in a role. The first day, I went there and could not decide what to eat since they have like 200 dishes for you to choose from. So I ask the owner to recommend me something, and he pointed at the "Vietnamese Pork Rasher Soup Noodles". When the dish came.....It felt like I just went back to Msia for a bowl of noodles.....cause it is exactly how the soup is back home....but I have to say...even better.....the soup is so clear yet full of flavours.....

The next day after a gym session with Ying Yee....I recommended her to go to this place and off we went there for lunch. This time I manage to snap some photos for the blog.....I had the "Pork and Prawn Noodle Soup" and Ying Yee had the "Satay Beef Noodles" All was great and will definitely come back again...

An Entry of Whinning...........

No....I did not see it coming...I do expect quite a share bit of hardship these coming few years....but I did not see that coming....I felt like I just hit the wall with a 100km/kph force........My head is spinning.....somemtimes I wonder how far or how low can one sink when they are in thier darkest times....well these stuff proves to me that when God is testing you, he makes sure you get the hit badly so you won't forget it.

I am not sure why stuff have to turn out like that....I don't know if you guys have watch that movie which was acted by Will Smith " The Persue Of Happiness". My current life is just like him at the moment.... Running two ways to meet days end and burning out.... but what I am glad about is that non of my dearest left me in the mist of all these chaos but instead stick to me closer than ever before.....That I have to be greatful. One say you will see who is your friend and who is not when shits happens and that I will totally agree with. Only friends will lead a helping hand or eventually call to ask if you are alright. I have to say I am glad to have friends of such to go through this period with me.

That day when my cousin told me, " You better take care cause when you graduate you will have a huge debt falling on your shoulder" Well at that time I though yea sure enough, the money I borrowed for studies and stuff.....not gonna be that hard....
Today I called home and found out something that I did not expect.....Soon our house will no longer belong to us............Well not under our name anyway......and that really kick my head abit as to register or digest what mom has just said.....All I can say is.......things have turn into such a point where for a while you just don't know how to react.

I asked myself again and again did I make a wrong choice to study overseas and things went bad? Or partially because dad lost his job? Or because of the bad enocomy?....It just don't make sense........Rewind it to a few years back....I was still the happy mummy's little girl with everything provided for me in a silver platter..........Know nothing about worrying......money? Not a problem, just have to ask dad and he will give me some........Rental? What the hell is that?........Bills? Non of my business....dads gonna pay that...
Where are my sugar muffin rainbow filled days........................where have they all gone? Did someone took it away from me while I am sleeping? Please give it back........ I am getting really tired now..........
